Groundwork Jacksonville

Groundwork Jacksonville, Inc. is a nonprofit organization working to restore and revitalize the urban waterways and green spaces in Jacksonville. It was established in 2014 as the city’s partner in building a network of trails, parks, and creeks which would become the Emerald Trail.

In 2020, Groundwork Jacksonville formed a relationship the Rotary Club of Jacksonville in the name of the Rotary clubs that populate Duval County. More on that relationship can be found HERE.

Groundwork Jacksonville is also part of the Groundwork USA network, which consists of 21 trusts across the country collaborating with local communities to improve their environment, health, and quality of life.

In addition to raising public-private financing for the project, Groundwork will oversee design and construction as well as project management of the Emerald Trail.

Groundwork Jacksonville’s vision is to link and encircle segments of the urban core of the city to enhance the benefits of Jacksonville for residents and visitors.
